Birchwood Highland support people to build self-confidence and adopt lifestyles that improve their health and well-being. They operate in the Inverness, Easter Ross, Caithness and Lochaber areas. Many of their staff have been with them a long time and have experience of working with vulnerable people and supporting their recovery.
Housing Support – Birchwood Highland provides Housing Support in the Inverness, Easter Ross, Caithness and Lochaber areas. Housing Support means helping people to live in their own house, rented or sheltered accommodation.
Care at Home – They can also provide Care at Home services, which may include personal care, help at home, home-from-hospital care (Re-enablement) and other more complex forms of support.
Birchwood Highland Recovery Centre – The Recovery Centre, located at Muirfield Lane, Inverness, IV2 4AX, offers short-term planned or unplanned care in a residential environment. This is provided by teams of nurses and support workers who work to the recovery ethos, aiming to promote positive self-esteem and self-image.
Supporting people with Dementia – Birchwood Highland provides support for people with Dementia, and they or their carers can access their services either through Self Directed Support (SDS) or a referral from Highland Health and Social Care Services.
