Aims:

To help the automotive and related industries provide care and support for employees and their dependents in times of need.

Services provided:

  • Information and advice. The BEN Welfare Scotland contact is Des Gale, Welfare Officer
  • Grants for individuals which may include the cost of specialist disabled equipment for a child or funding a respite break.

    The maximum grant that they can afford to give, except in the most exceptional circumstances, is £500. However they can often approach other funds on your behalf for certain needs. They are unable to help with top up fees for people in care homes, housing repairs or improvements (except heating and adaptations for a disabled person), private education, private medical treatment and medications. The Application form and further guidance can be downloaded from their website.

  • BEN also have a range of care centres across the country to care for older people in their communities.

Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm.
