Aims:

To provide treatment to improve the quality of life for people with all forms of neurological impairment including brain Injury; treatment can also be applied to those who experience learning difficulties.

Services provided:

Many people with brain injury are born with the problem due to genetic reasons or complications during pregnancy and birth. Other people suffer trauma during their life from accidents, assaults and natural disorders such as strokes. B.I.R.D.’s unique approach to treatment can be applied with a great deal of achievement to these patients. They also treat people who have had strokes or accidents which have caused trauma to the brain.

The treatment at B.I.R.D. is known as Developmental Reflexive Rehabilitation and is based on a series of movement patterns which facilitate neurological feedback to the brain in an attempt to inhibit the primitive reflexes that are present in many cases of brain injury and learning difficulty.

Opening hours:

Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm.
