Action on Elder Abuse (AEA) have launched a new helpline in Scotland for anyone concerned about harm or abuse of an older person. The Elder Abuse Helpline can offer free and impartial advice and support on:
• financial harm or exploitation
• physical abuse
• emotional or psychological abuse
• sexual harm or abuse
• neglect
The helpline number is 080 8808 8141, and lines are open from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
It is free and confidential to call. Anyone can call the helpline – whether you are at risk or experiencing harm or are worried about someone else.
