Warmer Homes Discount in Scotland
The warmer homes discount is a discount on your energy bill of £150
Who can get it?
If you are over state pension age and get Pension Credit Guarantee Credit then you should automatically receive a letter telling you that you are eligible. This is core group who can get it.
There are others on low incomes who may be able to apply if all three of these criteria are met:
- Your energy supplier is part of the scheme.
- You or your partner get certain benefits that are paid when you have a low income and receive what are called means tested benefits.
- Your name or your partner’s name is on the electricity bill.

How do you apply?
To apply you need to contact your energy supplier.
The scheme opens in October till the end of March. The payment if you are eligible is not in cash but involved the money being taken off your energy bill once in that period. This discount should not affect any other benefits or payments you receive is taken of your bill before 31st March 2026.

National Museums events

Aberdeen
Inchgarth Community Centre in Aberdeen has a number of events and groups including some that are specifically for disabled people. For example they have
- Inclusive Zumba
- Feel Good Fridays for adults with additional support needs
- Clubs for adults with additional support needs

- A new men’s club to help tackle the social isolation that can impact mental health
- Various kids groups
- Craft
- Music
- Social clubs
