‘Your guide to flying with a disability’ Open Day

Tryb4ufly are holding an event at Edinburgh Airport to support disabled people who are considering travelling by air.

The day is suitable for individual travellers and parents of disabled children who are considering flying together with health care and support professionals who want to guide their service users.

Taking you on a journey by air, step by step.
Throughout the day they will guide you through the whole journey by air, from booking to arrival at your destination to reduce stress and help make your journey comfortable. A replica aircraft cabin will be available for you to see and try seating and transfer equipment.
Topics of discussion will be: booking, insurance, safe carriage of your wheelchair, being fit to fly & medicines, hiring equipment abroad, check in & security, boarding the aircraft, managing challenging behaviours, aircraft seating, airport facilities, hidden disabilities & using the toilet.
