Aims:

  • increase awareness and understanding of various learning difficulties and their impact on children’s progress
  • provide opportunities to share knowledge, information and experience
  • bring together and support parents and carers of such children
  • highlight strategies which help to remove the barriers to learning.

Services provided:

SCILL is a Scottish charity based in Banchory on Royal Deeside, 18 miles from Aberdeen, in the Aberdeenshire District of Grampian Region.

SCILL‘s members are a mix of parents, carers, education and health professionals who share a common interest in the learning difficulties experienced by some children as they develop through their early years and then progress through the education system.

SCILL provides information and support to members and the general public to help in their task of Supporting Children (with additional support needs) In Learning for Life.

SCILL believes that, with appropriate input, every child with additional support needs can acquire skills which will help them to achieve their full potential
