Aims:

  • To promote the relief and welfare of people with learning difficulties in all types of residential care establishments including the family home
  • To represent the views of all parents and relatives
  • To extend education beyond the age of eighteen
  • To develop residential and village communities and their evolution within suitable existing hospital sites
  • To change the Law to recognise the limited decision making abilities of many people with learning disability.

services provided:

  • Lobbies national and local government to improve the choice of residential care, with adequate support services for people with learning disability
  • Provides information, advice and support to people with learning disabilities and their families
  • Co-operates with other organisations in the common cause
  • Raises awareness amongst the general public.

Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 12.30pm.
