Aims:
To provide professional counselling to people in need, irrespective of their ability to pay.
Services provided:
The PF offers a professional counselling service to individuals over the age of 18. Clients self refer by completing an application form available on the website, or by post upon request. An initial assessment appointment is usually offered within eight weeks, depending on clients availability. If it is agreed that counselling might be helpful, the client’s name is placed on a waiting list and a regular weekly session appointment slot will be offered. Sessions are weekly and are 50 minutes in length.
Membership costs:
Clients are welcome at the PF regardless of their ability to pay, however, they do ask all clients to make a regular donation, according to their genuine ability to do so. This contribution will be agreed upon at the initial assessment appointment.
Opening hours:
Monday – Thursday, 9.00am – 9.00pm
Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Saturday 09:30am – 4:30pm (PF Young Adults Service for clients aged 18-25 only)
Additional information:
All counsellors work on a voluntary (unpaid) basis, however, all are qualified to at least diploma level, or in their final stages of training.
