Pass IT On

Reusing computers to change lives: Pass IT On provides adapted computer equipment free of charge to disabled people in the EH postcode area.

Services provided:

Pass IT On is an innovative small charity which takes donated computer equipment, adapts it and gives it to disabled people living in the EH postcode (Edinburgh and Lothians) area.

Clients can be of any age- the only requirement is that they have a disability or health condition which makes it difficult for them to use publicly available computers (e.g. in their local library).

Volunteering: a key part of our work is also providing volunteering (and work placement opportunities for people with additional support needs), allowing volunteers to learn skills and contribute to our work; collecting, building and adapting computers for clients.

If you (or your organisation) are interested in buying a low-cost refurbished computer, just get in touch to discuss what you are looking for. Remember, anyone can buy a computer from us- you do not have to have a disability. The funds we raise go directly back into our work supplying adapted computers free to disabled people in Edinburgh. Purchased computers need to be collected from our workshop in Edinburgh- we aren’t able to offer a delivery service.

Equipment is donated by individuals and businesses, so availability varies. All electrical components are tested for electrical safety. All equipment is PAT tested for electrical safety before being sold, and all base units and monitors have a 30 day money back guarantee.
