The DPA is a national body representing Staff Disability networks from Police Forces across the UK

Services provided:

The Disabled Police Association is a national body representing Staff Disability networks from Police Forces across the UK.  Their main aim is to promote equality of opportunity for disabled people working within the extended Police family.

The association seeks to ensure the fair treatment of everyone in the Police Service but works particularly hard to ensure that it is the “Ability” of disabled Officers and Staff that is recognised, rather than  individual difference. National representatives meet four times a year to discuss generic disability employment issues affecting the Police Service. All requests for individual support are referred to the local Disability Staff Network.

At a National level they work with the Police Federation, all unions, the Association of Chief Police Officers and other Police Support organisations.
