Description of service:

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to use their mobility allowance to lease a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair without the worry of owning and running one.

The Scheme is open to those who receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA), War Pensioner Mobility Supplement (WPMS), the Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or the Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP).

 

The Motability Scheme is operated by Motability Operations Limited under contract to Motability.

Family members or carers can drive the car on behalf of the disabled person covered with insurance for up to three named drivers. Servicing and breakdown assistance all included and car adaptations are also available.
