Aims:

  • To prevent death and disability resulting from meningitis and septicaemia by promoting awareness of the disease and by working with families affected
  • To raise funds for research into its prevention, detection and treatment.

services provided:

  • Freefone helpline (operating Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) giving information to the public and offering support to those who have been affected by meningitis and septicaemia
  • Working in partnership with families who have been affected by meningitis to raise funds for research into its prevention, detection and treatment
  • Working alongside health professionals to provide information and help with early detection and prompt effective treatment of meningitis and septicaemia
  • The promotion of research into the prevention, detection and treatment of all types of meningitis and associated infections.

Local fundraising activities and local awareness raising initiatives.

Membership:

Scotland has a growing network of families and individuals with personal experience of meningitis and septicaemia, who have become members of the Foundation. Membership is free, contact the organisation for further details.

Opening hours:

Weekdays:
Sept – March 9.00am-10.00pm
Apr – Aug 9.00am-8.00pm
Weekends and Bank Holidays, 10.00am – 1.00pm and 5.00pm – 8.00pm

Office hours are Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm.
