Accommodation:
The Shropshire Lass is a seventy foot narrow boat with sleeping berths and facilities for a week-long break.
The Shropshire Lad is a forty five foot boat for day trips only. There is no sleeping accommodation on board but it does have a big open deck up front, and is licensed for twelve people. Volunteer skipper provided if required.
There is also a self catering cottage at Lyneal Wharf, where the boats are based, for hire with or without the boats. There is sleeping accommodation for up to fourteen people in two detached bungalows next to the cottage. Accommodation is wheelchair accessible and has a disabled shower and toilet facilities. A games room, laundry room and BBQ facilities.
Access and mobility:
The boats have wheelchair access via an aluminium ramp which can be stowed easily on the cabin top. Upper bunks on the Shropshire Lass, hinge and stow out of the way for easier access to the lower ones. A hydraulic steering wheel allows easier steering. A volunteer skipper is provided for The Shropshire Lad.
