Insight Radio is the official radio station of the RNIB and is the first radio station in Europe for blind and partially sighted people. Insight Radio broadcasts from Glasgow and is available at www.Insightradio.co.uk, on 101 FM in Glasgow and the surrounding area, and on Sky Channel 0188.
The Radio Station currently broadcasts a selection of programmes Monday till Friday, from 7.00am until 10.00pm. All of the presenters are blind or partially sighted.
The current schedule includes The Early Edition from 7.00am – 10.00am, with its focus on reporting the morning newspapers main stories from the front pages, through to sport, business and entertainment. It also updates the main news of the day with specific features of interest to blind and partially sighted people.
Another popular programme is Talking Books which features classic tales from the RNIB Talking Books service. This programme is repeated at night.
