Finchale Training College

Providing speciality progression support for people with multiple and complex barriers to employment

Aims:

To enable unemployed, disabled adults to gain the skills they need to enter and retain employment.

Services provided:

Finchale is a national, specialist College providing vocational training and rehabilitation for adults living with disability and experiencing multiple barriers to employment and independence. Trainees can chose from a variety of vocational training programmes (horticulture, joinery, IT, accounts, service industries, electrical training and warehousing) and if an individual is ex-military they can undertake a specialist Veterans Pathways programme. In addition to training, Finchale provides a range of in-house rehabilitation and support services from nursing and counselling, dyslexia support and communication skills to employment and careers guidance. Trainees can attend Finchale by either staying in our residential accommodation or travelling daily if they live nearby. Finchale aims to provide comprehensive support for each individual to achieve their potential and achieve independence.

The length of the training courses are flexible and will depend on the course type. Each course (except Veterans Pathways) will include a work placement and holidays.

Trainees are attracted from all parts of England, Scotland and Wales and benefit from vocational training in a modern, professional environment.

College guides are available on request, or can be downloaded from the website.
