Aims:

To apply the advertising codes and uphold standards in all media on behalf of consumers, business and society.

Services provided:

  • Comprehensive seminar programme to keep the industry up to date with the codes of conduct
  • The authority can act quickly to have a misleading or offensive advertisement changed or withdrawn
  • Deals with complaints about advertisements that do not meet the guidelines
  • Through the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Copy Advice Team, advertisers are able to get pre-publication advice on non-broadcast advertising issues to help prevent problems arising.
