Aims:
To be the voice of disabled people in Dumfries and Galloway, to further their independence and full participation in the community.
Services provided:
- Region wide forum for disabled people Dumfries and Galloway
- Raise disability awareness to the top of the agenda
- Work for better disabled access to transport, public buildings, education, employment
- Central point for representative consultation between disabled people and other agencies including Dumfries and Galloway Council, NHS Dumfries and Galloway and Scottish and UK organisations, through seminars, focus groups and consultations
- Challenge all discrimination
- Campaign on disabled issues across Dumfries and Galloway
- Provide information on disability issues
- Frequent meetings.
