Independent Living Scotland

ILS is Scotland’s largest FREE disability lifestyle and independent living event.  The show has over 100 exhibitors and is the must-attend event for all Scottish carers and individuals or families living with, or supporting, those with a disability, as well as healthcare professionals.

Sport, Wellness & Leisure Arena

The Curling Experience in the new Sports, Wellness and Leisure Arena with Braehead Curling Club and Scottish Curling. Glasgow Eagles Sports Club will showcase special needs sports activities including basketball, table tennis, wheelchair and visually impaired football, boccia and weightlifting.


OTAC Arena

Making its first visit to Glasgow, OTAC is the only free adaptation and equipment-based conference for occupational therapists in the UK.  There are daily seminars and an exhibition area featuring Invacare, 24-7 Healthcare, Gordon Ellis, Evolution Healthcare, Geberit, Triton Showers, Stoke Case Management, Care and Repair and Closomat.


Caring for Carers

ILS and new show charity partner Shared Care Scotland are co-hosting a thank you reception for unpaid carers. The event will pay tribute to these unsung heroes and give them the chance to mix with their peers and a host of experts.


Consultation Corner

Shared Care Scotland and other carer groups are conducting private one-to-one consultations for people wanting advice or funding support to take a short break from caring responsibilities.

  • Alzheimer Sensory Experience

A special focus on dementia again with the return of the popular Virtual Dementia Tour Bus run by Training2Care. This experiential training is a must-visit for family carers or professionals who want to better understand dementia.


  • Autism Awareness Zone

Home to the Autism Reality Experience, this zone features innovative, hands-on training to give people an experience of the sensory processing difficulties faced by people on the autism spectrum and provide new skills and techniques.


  • Adapted and Special Purpose Vehicles

Scotland leading dealers are showcasing the latest, most popular adapted vehicles, wheelchair accessible vehicles and minibus conversions to allow visitors to compare the best on the market.   • Inspiration Theatre

  • Healthcare Professionals Theatre

This free two-day specialist conference features a line-up of 14 thought leaders and practitioners sharing the latest thinking on the issues and challenges facing occupational therapists and physiotherapists.  The programme is CPD accredited and the focus for each day is:
