Our Manager, Scott, will be attending the Deaf Scotland’s Sensory and Equality Conference on March 15th. This will be their first conference under a new brand and identity deafscotland and will include keynote speakers and workshops delivered by NHS24, Deafblind Scotland, Disability Equality Scotland, Cope Scotland, SOVI, Ideas for Ears, National Deaf Children’s Society, Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Sign Language Interactions under the theme Communication for All.
The conference aims to explore how together we can develop solutions and create a society where all people have equal access, rights and citizenship.
We’re looking forward to seeing how we can support this and if you are attending why not pop along and have a chat with Scott.
We also hope to attend the Head Injury Information Day on March 27th in Dumfries but will confirm attendance closer to the time.
Finally, we will be helping promote some great work too, Disabled Access Day on March 16th, Down Syndrome Awareness Week starting March 18th, Parkinsons Awareness Week from April 10th and World Autism Day 2nd April. Look out for our posts on Twitter and Facebook to find out what is happening during these events.
