EU Withdrawal (Evaluation of Effects on Health and Social Care Sectors) Bill (Bill 288) Update

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) have circulated Brendan O’Hara MP’s Private Member’s Bill proposing an independent evaluation of Brexit’s impact on health and social care.  It has now been published in the House of Commons.  Please follow the link below to the Bill:

The latest version of the briefing paper is also below.  There are now 87 supporting organisations from across the UK.

We support the Bill in that understanding the impact of the EU withdrawal on Health and Social Care can help organisations directly and indirectly involved in supporting some of the most vulnerable, be prepared and mitigate the worst impacts of Brexit.  It will also allow for each of the 4 nations to contribute to, and/or plan for the future sustainability of the NHS and Health and Social Care.

Please share with your supporters and circulate in your networks to secure more supporters across Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

The next key date is the Second Reading debate in the House of Commons on 25 January 2019.

Any organisation not aware but wishing to support can contact the ALLIANCE for more details.
